Sacha Meier’s food and hospitality journey began in early childhood and remains heavily rooted in his approach, over three decades later. His passion for fresh, clean, whole foods and sustainable practices has been the driving force that fuels all that he does.

Growing up in Bega, NSW, Sacha spent countless hours working alongside his Swiss-born father, Gottlieb, on their one-acre plot. Together they grew a wide variety of produce, from guavas to feijoas and Sacha learnt how to preserve food by pickling and drying. These early years instilled a deep passion for garden-to-plate and a deep appreciation for what earth provides, and how we must take care of it.

In 2016, Sacha founded One Green Acre, a catering business with a considered and whole approach to event catering and high-end private chef services, working with seasonal, small-batch, hyper local suppliers.

Recognising an existing gap in the film industry, Sacha then founded Reel Food Catering. This company specialises in providing high-quality catering that remains deeply rooted in seasonal, small-batch and high-quality food for the film and television industry while delivering on a large and complex scale.

This journey has now led to the creation of Conscious Kitchen, a business founded on the recognition of a significant gap in the availability of quality food within crucial environments across Australia. These settings include schools, ranging from primary to high school, universities, and care homes for the elderly. Conscious Kitchen aims to address these deficiencies by providing nutritious, wholesome meals that cater to the specific needs of these communities.

As a father of three kids and a chef, Sacha is a nurturer and believes that everyone deserves access to whole, nutritious food – that is high quality, chemical and additive-free and delicious.

With over 30 years of experience in growing, cooking, and teaching, Sacha continues to make significant contributions to hospitality, sustainability, and the art of nourishing both body and soul.
